SaskTel Centre opened in February of 1989. The facility hosts over 500,000 guests each year for events such as the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship, MasterCard Memorial Cup, Tim Horton's Brier, CCMA Music Awards, Juno Awards, SIGA Pow Wow, Saskatoon's Remembrance Day Service, as well as the world's largest entertainers like Garth Brooks, Elton John, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Jason Aldean, Nickelback, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Katy Perry. SaskTel Centre is home to the WHL's Saskatoon Blades.
The building also hosts two off-site events each year, the institutional Taste of Saskatchewan; food festival hosted each summer in downtown Saskatoon. And the newly formed, Rock the River, Saskatchewan's Classic Rock Festival.

The LED display ring consist of exposure on the two fascia rings. These components feature state of the art technology, provide great flexibility for partners and lead to a big impact for game attendees within the bowl of SaskTel Centre
