SASK RUSH PARKING

INBOUND TRAFFIC:
SaskTel Centre with support from City of Saskatoon Transportation division, will be altering the ingress routes the remainder of the Saskatchewan Rush season and all large-scale events going forward. The purpose in order to maximize traffic flow and reduce the amount of time fans wait to park, Apex Street will be converted to a one-way street with two travel lanes. The one-way direction will begin at the intersection of Apex Street and Thatcher Avenue, with two lanes of vehicles southbound on Thatcher Avenue being directed to turn left onto Apex Street and travel east, and then south to 60th Street in two lanes of traffic.

In order to improve inbound traffic from Highway 16, drivers will be required to stay in their lane once entering Marquis Drive. Traffic in the curb lane must turn right onto Bill Hunter Avenue, and traffic in the middle lane must continue east on Marquis Drive and turn right onto Thatcher Avenue.

Effective March 24, 2017 other updates include:
  • Installing two left turn lanes for westbound traffic on Marquis Drive turning left onto Thatcher Avenue and driving south.
  • Not permitting stopping on Apex Street immediately east of Thatcher Avenue.
  • No parking on 60th Street immediately south of SaskTel Centre parking lot.
  • New signage plan to provide direction to drivers.

  • Guests are asked to use Idylwyld Drive, Millar Ave or Wanuskewin Road to Marquis Drive. Access via HWY 16 is not recommended for city traffic.

    Transit Service:
  • Use Saskatoon Transit from the downtown terminal on 23rd Street & 2nd Ave.
  • First bus departs at 5:45 PM. Last bus departs at 7:10 PM
  • Regular fare applies ($3.00 per trip) and passes are accepted.

    Carpooling strongly encouraged.
Follow the directions of Saskatoon Police, parking attendants and signage to your parking spot.

    OTHER INFORMATION:
  • Be Patient. Delays are going to occur.
