VANILLA ICE, SALT-N- PEPA AND MORE TAKE US BACK TO THE ‘90S IN A HIT PACKED, NOSTALGIC NIGHT OUT
(SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN) – November 14, 2016 - Following early sold out shows and mounting demand from fans, I LOVE THE ‘90s TOUR is taking the show on the road, crisscrossing the country and bringing a bill of beloved ‘90s acts to perform at venues in over 100 different cities. The once-in- a-lifetime lineup comes together for a nostalgia-driven blast from the past which began on Friday, April 15 at Greenville’s Bon Secour Wellness Arena. The I LOVE THE ‘90s TOUR will bring the party to SaskTel Centre on Sunday, April 2, 2017 with tickets going on-sale Friday, November 18 th at 10:00 AM.
The inaugural edition of I Love The ‘90s Tour invites attendees to reminisce about the trend-setting decade with some of the most iconic, indelible names in rap, hip hop and R&B. All-4- One, Biz Markie, Coolio, Color Me Badd, Kool Moe Dee, Kid ‘n Play, Rob Base, Salt-N- Pepa, Tone Loc, Vanilla Ice and Young MC compose this year’s revolving line-up of iconic ‘90s artists. Audiences can expect to hear chart-topping hits like “Let’s Talk About Sex”, “Shoop”, “Ice, Ice Baby”, “I Wanna Sex You Up”, “It Takes Two”, and more during a fun-filled night out that doubles as an arena-sized dance party.
The April 2nd I LOVE THE ‘90s TOUR date in Saskatoon at SaskTel Centre includes Vanilla Ice, Salt N Pepa, Color Me Badd, Young MC, and Rob Base.
Additional dates have been added to the national tour in response to the groundswell of fan excitement for I Love The ‘90s Tour. Each show features upwards of eight performers and promises a lineup that you won’t find anywhere else. Early reviews have praised the tour as a “once in a lifetime experience (Utica Observer Dispatch)” and a “trip down memory lane with rap, hip-hop, smoke, lights and nostalgia (Texas Rock Report)”.
I Love The ‘90s Tour is represented by Universal Attractions Agency (UAA). Founded in 1949, the agency’s celebrated history includes launching the career of the legendary soul singer James Brown. UAA’s co-owner Jeff Allen said of the decision to launch I Love the 90’s Tour: “We are so thrilled to be able to bring together some of the most iconic artists of one of the most pivotal decades for music. After the incredible fan response to the first few shows, we knew the Tour had to go national." Echoing Allen’s sentiments, UAA’s other co-owner Jeff Epstein said, “It’s a stellar line-up that we couldn’t be more excited to present. We look forward to bringing the tour back with a selection of the decade's finest artists for many years to come.”
